How do I set up a fingerprint scan to unlock my phone?
To set up a fingerprint scan, follow these steps:
- From the main screen, slide the screen up to display your apps.
- Locate and tap the "Settings" icon.
- Locate and tap "Security & biometrics."
- Tap "Fingerprint."
- Tap the desired backup screen lock method and follow the prompts on your screen to set it up.
- Note: If you have already created a secure screen lock, you will be prompted to enter your screen lock credentials.
- Tap "Add Fingerprint."
- Locate the fingerprint scanner on the back of your phone and follow the prompts on your screen to scan your fingerprint.
- To add another fingerprint, tap "Add another." Otherwise, tap "Done."
